Among agricultural irrigation the irrigation of turf respectively rolled turf is a special challenge. Rolled turf is cultivated on large areas which require an intense irrigation. Lay lengths of more than 500 meters are absolutely common practice. Enormous forces occur due to riction between PE pipe and turf which have to be absorbed by the PE pipe and of course also the hose reel.
